The fourth annual NBA D-League National Tryout (previously known as Pre-Draft Camp) offers athletes the opportunity to showcase their basketball talent in front of NBA D-League front office personnel, as well as coaches and representatives from each of the league’s 17 teams. Participants will be competing for the chance to sign an NBA D-League standard player contract and to be placed in the 2010 NBA D-League Draft, held in November of 2010. DATES AND LOCATION
The NBA D-League National Tryout will be held from June 11-13, 2010 at Hoop Magic in Chantilly, Virginia. The Hoop Magic facility is located less than 10 minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport. Click here for directions from other DC area locations. Arrival and check-in will take place on June 11. Details will be provided at a later date.

GAME RULES
The Tryout, officiating, and instruction will follow NBA game rules.

ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be a minimum 18 years of age and meet NBA D-League eligibility requirements as stated on the 2010 National Tryout Player Eligibility & Release form below. The Tryout roster is limited to 200 players.

The deadline for completed applications to be received is May 22, 2010.

COSTS
The $600 participation fee includes lodging for two nights, transportation between the hotel and gym for the games, breakfast, and a uniform. All materials must be received by the deadline and completed in their entirety for the player to be considered for participation in the Tryout.

All applicants must download and complete the Application form, as well as the Player Release & Eligibility form below, and return them with $600 money order (made payable to NBA Development League, LLC) via traceable carrier (e.g. FedEx, UPS, DHL) to Dwayne Killings at NBA Development League, 477 Madison Ave, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10022 by May 22, 2010. Only timely applications will be considered. You will be informed by June 5, 2010 whether or not you have been selected to participate. If you are not selected your $600 application fee will be refunded. No refunds will be permitted otherwise.
