(Huntsville, AL) On April 20, 2013, The Superior Sports Network University Sports Mentoring Leadership Clinic event showcased a variety of professional sports, & entertainment guest speakers that have addressed subjects such as financial counseling, market and brand image, own your own company, strength conditioning development, ettitquete, your attitude and the media. This year the Real Fathers Making A Difference Organization teamed up with various student athletes mentors which were involved in a media developmental commercial.
Over the course of the clinic, student athletes will learn more about personal finance, launching a new career with realistic expectations, developing a personal brand, communication skills, and the importance of health and well being. Content will also include a mix of academic topics, success stories from guest speakers, and practical applications.
“The Superior Sports Network Sports Mentoring Leadership Clinic, gives student athletes the tools to transition from the playing field to the boardroom and beyond,” said Commissioner K. Carrington-De’Laine, SMBC. “As an educator, I look forward to working with these student athletes find their footing in their new careers so they can have a lasting impact in their communities.”
