What is your name, what college or university do you attend ?

My name is Bill Ross and I currently attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.Out of high school, I attended New Mexico MilitaryInstitute in Roswell, New Mexico for two seasons before transferring to UAPB to finish out my college career.

What is your position on the field ?

I am a middle linebacker and a long snapper .

What types of activities do you enjoy in your spare time?

In my spare time and when I get a chance to come home I always enjoy spending time with my family.I don’t get to see them much so when I get to come home I am always trying to see my family.I like to hunt, fish and hangout with my friends.

As a leader how do you get others to follow you when you are in a leadership role ?

I always try to lead by example.A middle linebacker is the “quarterback of the defense.” I strive to be perfect both on and off the field, as well as in games and practice. When my teammates see me working hard and being “coachable”that positive example circulates through the team.

What is your work-out routine, how do you keep yourself in shape and competitive on and off the field ?

During football season I work out about four times a week to keep my body in a good physical shape. However, the off season is when I really get after it in the weight room.I work out at least five days a week, getting in multiple workouts a day.Morning workouts usually focus on weights and conditioning, with afternoon workouts spent working on sprints and short distance running to increase my speed.

What’s your main passion in life?

My passion has always been football. This is all I know, I have been playing football for 16 years now and hope and pray I have a lengthy career in the NFL.

What is your strengths and weakness on the field ?

My main strength on the field is my instinct for finding the football. Coaches have always told me that is one thing you can’t teach a player. You either have it or you don’t.There is no room for weakness on the football field.

When other athletes see you on the cover of InSide HBCU Fitness & Style Magazine/Celebrity Sports Hustle, what do you want to get from this interview when reading this.

When other athletes (especially younger athletes) see this I want them to see that faith, hard work, and dedication can take you places that you can only imagine.I was undersized in high school, so I had to go to jr. college then I transferred to uapb and ended up having an above average career. If I can do it anyone can.Believe in yourself.

Who was the Role-Model In your life, and how has him or her pushed you to be the best man you need to be in life ?

My role model has always been my mother. Her being a single mother and raising two children and always providing for us makes her my super hero.Because of her, I have the ambition to play in the NFL to financially be able to support her how she has supported me all of these years. She always taught me manners, and to treat people with respect. She taught me to work hard hard and that if I was passionate about something then I should pursue it will all my heart.

A lot of kids look up to you as a role model. Is being a role model something you take pride in?

Yes, I do take pride in being a role model for children and I always try to be the best Christian example I can be on and off the field.A lot of kids in today’s society look up to rappers and people who may be a negative rather than positive influence so I try to be a positive influence, and do the right thing.

What is Style to you, how do you keep yourself with the latest style to the next level ?

Every athlete has their own style of play.My style is a very intense and focused style of play.

Tell me about being at this point in your career. Have you accomplished everything you’ve set out to accomplish?

I have been blessed with all of my success this far in my career.I have had a good college career but I do not believe my playing days are over. The NFL is a realistic goal for me and I am working at it with all I have.I have not accomplished every personal goal I set for myself, but I did accomplish the main goal for me and my team, and that was to be named the 2012 SWAC Champions.

You are known for having one of the more eccentric and outgoing personalities in career. Why do you think you have that reputation?

I think I am known for those things because of my passion for the things I do.I do not have many enemies because I try to stay positive and help people out if I am able to do so.

If we did a book/movie about you, what would be the title of the book or movie be, will be a drama, action, thriller, or documentary.

It would defiantly be a documentary.Mainly because of the obstacles I had to go thru to get to where I am today. My football career did not start off bright but throughout the years I have been able to turn things around.
