(Huntsville, AL) On April 16-17, 2010, America's HBCU-RM event showcased a variety of professional sports, & entertainment guest speakers that have addressed subjects such as financial counseling, market and brand image, own your own company, strength conditioning development, ettitquete, your attitude and the media. The program's mission was to assist and educate our HBCU Athletes and future business moguls to become entrepreneurs on how to take control of their own destiny, with no excuses.
Adopt an attitude, be a negotiator,be an engaged performer, be an engaged strategist, & always take value opportunities, were some of the subjects that the speakers and guest judges were advising and empowering the athletes and students at the America's HBCU-RM Clinic.
Superior guest and judges in attendance were Emmanuel Arceneaux, Wide Receiver of The BC Lions, Lona Johnson, Financial Director of BBVA Compass, James F. Smith, Business Owner of AllState Insurance, Keisa Sharpe, Media Relations Director of Alabama Power, Jerry Mitchell, CEO of The North Alabama African American Chamber of Commerce.
Athletes and students were presented with 2010 America's HBCU-RM Trailblazer Awards. Mr. Dee Lett of Alabama A&M University was selected and voted by the judges to win the 2010 America's HBCU-RM Title.K. Carrington-De'Laine, Commissioner of Superior Sports Network presented Emmanuel Arceneaux "The 2010 Superior Sports Network Leadership Award Plaque" and The Creation of "The Emmanuel Arceneaux Project" Poster.
The event(s) consist of The Army Development Assessment Challenge which was held at The James A. Lane Boys and Girls Club in along with the Millionaires Network Breakfast at the Radison Hotel in Huntsville, AL. About America's HBCU-RM is a mentoring development program in which a number of athletes and student compete for America's HBCU-RM Title and chance to transform their career in the sports entertainment industry.
