In my spare time I enjoy training, reading, writing poetry, hunting, fishing, star gazing, listening to music and spending time with my family. Whether I'm on or off the field I'm always in a leadership role. There is never a time when your every move and everyone is not watching and judging you. A great leader is someone who inspires people to do what they don't to do and do so masterfully. As a leader you have to do everything right, be punctual and in the right place at all times. I prefer to lead by example and let my actions inspire those around me. A man should be judged by his work not his words because actions speak louder than words.
My passion in life is to do greatly what others only want to be successful at doing, to excel and master what others only want to be awarded for. My passion is to aspire to inspire before I expire and football gives me an opportunity to do just that. My strengths on the field are my leadership qualities, my knowledge, wisdom and understanding of the game as a whole which always me to compete faster and at a level my opponent is unable or unwilling to match. I'm a sure tackler, my athleticism contributes to my quickness and game speed. Areas I will improve on are reading 3 step and my implementation into the passing game.
When other athletes see me on the cover of InSide HBCU Fitness and Style Magazine/Celebrity Sports Hustle, I pray they see a hungry and humble young man he is blessed to abide in God's favor and covered by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That I am what I am by the grace of God. That I am what I am by virtue of Hard work, self-discipline, sacrificing and embracing the struggle. That I am because everyday of my life is dedicating to getting better at something and my commitment to excellence. It is an absolute blessing and honor to be apart of The Superior Sports Network Family and not only be an Ambassador for The Superior Sports Network Franchise but an Ambassador for my family, my respective University and my fraternity, Omega Psi Phi fraternity Inc.
My father is my hero and greatest role model. He wasn't the best athlete in high school but he loved the game so much that he learned it well enough to teach and mold me into the competitor I am today. Even beyond football he was a unwavering example of what a man should be. He introduced the knowledge to understand my faith, taught me how to pray and the value of hard work. That nothing in life worth having ever comes easy and hardly ever comes without the willingness to sacrifice. "To whom much is given, much is required." It's a great responsibility to be thrusted into a role of such magnitude but it's something I definitely take pride in.
Style is the expression of your inner person reflected on your outward man. Style is you wearing your personality. I prefer the Grown and Sexy look, a nice timepiece, tailored slacks and loafers over sweats and Jordan's any day. I'm a huge Mezlan, Jos. A. Banks, Brooks Brothers and Paul Stuart fan. I have accomplished some amazing things throughout my collegiate career. I wanted to be the best to ever do it, and I feel I've done that. I wanted to leave a body of work, a legacy that will outlive me and I've done that. I've broke and set quite a few records and played an instrumental role in restoring the history and tradition back to Howard Football. However the one thing I have yet to accomplish is to be a champion. My constant striving goal is to be the greatest and I won't stop until I've hoisted that hardware. My next goal and given an opportunity in my future endeavor is to hoist the Lombardi trophy.
I believe my personality is illuminated by my attitude and mentality of positive thinking and omitting positive energy into the universe. People feed off and respond well to positive energy and it causes them to act in manner that is beneficial to the collective. As a leader you have to maintain a positive attitude and a positive way of thinking. If there was a production produced on me it would be a Spike Lee Joint, a documentary entitled "Against All Odds."
